This series of blogs is about writing my first novel. I’ve tried to separate the entries out into chronological themes; from what to do with inspiration through to finding a publisher and establishing a readership. Each article should stand on its own, so you don’t need to read everything that came before it. This is an eat-all-you-like buffet, not a set-course banquet.
There’s no doubt that writing is a personal thing. I’m not here to preach the correct way of going about your business. What worked for me might not for you. I’m just going to talk about my experiences. I’ll probably focus more on what went wrong than what went right because, for me, it was the mistakes that led to progress.
If you have other ideas for how to go about doing things, please share them in the comments. I’m always looking to learn new stuff.
